Ben Alder


It was freezing....
It's also a long, long walk from Dalwhinnie just to get anywhere near the mountains, so did more of a flatland walk instead to the bothy that would be a great start-off point if you stayed there overnight and tackled the Munros next day.
Still, it was not a wasted day, and spent a good while watching the rescue chopper hovering over the cliffs, so need to check the news and see what was going on.

Also checked out the church that has just been built on the estate, and the helicopter hanger that has been built into the hillside.


Monday, and back to work. We fitted the roof onto the Hobbit, then got the 4th coat of varnish onto the Wee Hobbit, so a very productive day.
